As Leaders we come across poor performing individuals from time to time. We have a responsibility to the Team we lead and to the Company we work for to act. Decisively and swiftly. Poor performers come in different shapes, sizes and attitudes. The worst case is a poor performing individual who also has a negative mind set and a general undermining behavior. A person who basically is directly destructive for and to others. What in your mind needs to be done about this?

Hi,
In my view, individuals in our team who have a d’estructive attitude’ are like malignant ulcers. Our first attempt should be to ‘cure’ them and bring them to ‘healthy’ attitude which is in-line with our collective vision for the organization.
If ‘cure’ fails then the best is to operate/terminate these individuals in the interest of the organization as well as of the individual (since he/she may be a right fit in some other company.
Cheers
