Anyway, I am hear to talk to you about accountability…

I have worked in multi – cultural and multi – billion dollar organizations for many years… One thing I have learnt is that you own up to your tasks and areas of responsibilities… Come hell or high water… Hiding behind bureaucracies and processes are futile and indeed weak personal attributes.

I’d rather you fail and learn than doing nothing… I’d rather you fall down and pick yourself up again… Playing it safe is boring and it leads nowhere. I respect people who dare to admit mistakes and who embrace differences. There are too many diplomates in the business scene and they just don’t belong at the top. Get a job somewhere else and be a follower…. Leadership is guts… If you haven’t got guts – be a librarian….

A Leader who does not commit and a leader who doesn’t own up to faults and shortcomings is not a leader… Are you a leader? Embrace every part of yourself. Faults and all… Take charge of yourself and your responsibilities… Nothing is more fulfilling than being true to yourself….. the 21st century belongs to leaders who dare to admit that they will not always be right… But hey, they have guts…
